The commitment and social concerns of these new generations of lawyers has motivated the firm to take action and to dedicate both economic and human resources to the following voluntary and social action programs:

Pro bono advice: Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira offers free legal advice both to disadvantaged persons whose rights are affected or jeopardized and who cannot afford a legal defense, and to non-profit institutions (e.g., NGOs, foundations and associations) with activities it feels it must support. Lawyers participate voluntarily in this program.

Free legal training: The firm offers free legal training in schools, public centers and social organizations. Lawyers also participate voluntarily in this program.

Special employment centers: In line with its commitment to comply with the Social Integration of the Disabled Act (Ley de Integración Social del Minusválido), Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira uses special employment centers as its providers of different products and services. It collaborates with various special employment centers when hiring services (e.g., cleaning, gardening, graphic arts and office materials).

Promoting voluntary work: Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira promotes campaigns that require its lawyers and support staff to participate voluntarily in events or conferences for all kinds of social purposes (e.g., blood donations, intercompany games and toy collections).

Donations: Also related to its commitment to special employment centers, Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira donates money to various non-profit foundations and organizations to finance projects that are clearly intended for social purposes.
