The TMT Group was created to offer specialized and coordinated legal services to the sector’s companies. The group has 40 lawyers, selected from the firm’s’ different legal disciplines (including public and administrative, corporate and commercial, competition and procedural law) and offices (Barcelona, Bilbao, Brussels, Lisbon, Madrid, Paris and Zaragoza), with in-depth knowledge of the market and the technologies used.

The group often works with experts from other disciplines (technical engineers and economists) to provide a comprehensive service, which includes legal advice on:

• Sector regulations and representation in proceedings with public authorities, as well as Spanish and international sector associations

• Disputes, examining all possible solutions (extrajudicial transactions, regulator participation, alternative dispute resolution, legal proceedings and arbitration)

• Competition law and legal proceedings with the competition defense authorities in Spain and the EU

• Administrative procedures (local, regional, national, European Community and international authorities) and judicial appeals

• Advice on contracts, such as telecommunication services, wholesaler agreements, software licenses, outsourcing and producer agreements
