A lawyer at the firm since 1988, he has practiced in an international environment, having managed the Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira’s New York office from 2006 until 2010, and having spent periods working in Brussels, London, Osaka and Tokyo. He has widespread experience in cross-border corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and corporate agreements. He is also highly experienced in advising on management buy-ins and buy-outs, venture-capital transactions and structured financing.
A lecturer on corporate law at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona from 1996 to 2005, he speaks regularly at international forums on mergers and acquisitions and other corporate matters.
He is Chair of the Legal Practice Division and Immediate Past Chair to the Foreign Legal Consultant Committee of the ABA Section of International Law of the American Bar Association; co-chair of the Foreign Lawyers Committee and member of the Executive Committee of the International Section of the New York State Bar Association, as well as former vice-chair of the Spain-U.S. Chamber of Commerce and former vice president of the American Foreign Law Association. He is also member of the Barcelona Bar Association and the International Bar Association.
He is also a member of Board of Directors of the first division football club RCD Espanyol.
