Alejo López-Mellado

Mr. López-Mellado has 15 years of experience representing leading companies before the civil and commercial courts, resolving their internal disputes and defending their interests against third parties.

We highlight his experience in bankruptcy law, representing the interests of bank creditors and bankrupt entities.

Several international legal yearbooks, such as IFLR 1000, PLC Which Lawyer, Legal 500, and Best Lawyers have acknowledged his work in the areas of insolvency and restructuring. In Spain, Aranzadi has recognized Mr. López-Mellado as one of the best 50 lawyers for lawsuits and arbitration.

He is a member of the Turnaround Management Association.

Mr. López-Mellado lectures on national and international commercial arbitration in the postgraduate masters degree at the Universidad de Antonio de Nebrija in Madrid.

He is the author of several publications, such as the monograph International recognition and enforcement of money judgments, published in the United States, and the article Las acciones de reintegración, aspectos procesales (Reintegration actions. Procedural aspects), published by El Derecho.

He has also delivered several conferences on procedural issues and bankruptcy law.
