Florbela Pires

Associate lawyer of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira since 2003.

The main projects on which she has advised in recent years include financing transactions involving simple and structured debt issue, project finance related to road concessions, and public offerings.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association since 1993.

From 2004 to 2005, she was legal advisor at the United Nations Mission of Support in East Timor, advising the Council of Ministers of the 1st Constitutional Government of the Democractic Republic of East Timor.

From 2000 to 2002, she was legal director and lecturer at the Bissau School of Law on behalf of the University of Lisbon Law School. 

From 1997 to 2000, legal Advisor to the Secretary of State of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers and to the Minister of the Presidency of the 14th and 13th Portuguese constitutional governments.

From 1995 to 1997, she was an in-house lawyer at the Issuers Department of the Portuguese Securities Commission.

She has been lecturing in private international law, comparative law and commercial law at the University of Lisbon Law School since 1993.
