Francisco Picó

Mr. Picó has ample experience in tax planning and advising clients on tax matters. He is actively engaged in the practice of corporation tax law and focuses on developing innovative, practical solutons to difficult structuring problems arising in complex corporate transactions. He has participated in many corporate and family business group restructurings, as well as in mergers and stake acquisitions.

He also has extensive experience in the real estate sector, projects to manage land and construction, and in analyzing and evaluating the taxation of real estate investments and financing.

He has been working with Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira for more than 10 years at its offices in Barcelona and Alicante, and is a member of its Real Estate and Construction Group and its Indirect Taxation Group.

Mr. Picó frequently lectures on various topics relating to the taxation of corporate transactions such as real estate taxation in the Master in Real Estate Management; corporate income tax, and transfer tax and stamp duty in the Master in Banking Management; and taxation and mergers in the Master in Tax Consultancy for Businesses at the Foundation for Business Development (Fundación para el Desarrollo Empresarial), where he teaches in the area of tax law, particularly focusing on tax planning for complex corporate transactions.

He has also written several published articles and is a regular speaker at seminars and courses specializing in real estate.

He is a member of the Alicante Bar Association and the Alicante Institute of Economists.
