Francisco Pérez-Crespo

Mr. Pérez-Crespo has extensive experience in advising business groups on complex acquisition and restructuring transactions. Recently, he has advised clients on acquiring energy groups through securities-market transactions, and on privatizing public entities and state-owned companies. He advises the managerial bodies of companies with public service contracts on an ongoing basis.

He also has ample experience in advising companies on debt renegotiation and bankruptcy proceedings.

He is Managing Partner of the Madrid office.

A counsel for the state since March 1, 1988, and currently on leave, Mr. Pérez-Crespo was deputy director of the legal service of the tax authorities for four years before joining the firm. He was secretary-general of Grupo Aceralia, participating in its privatization and European integration.

He contributed to writing the draft bill for the reform of the Bankruptcy Act as a member of the Special Section for Bankruptcy Reform.

He is a member of the Taxpayer Defense Council.
