Gonçalo Bastos Lopes

He began his activity as a tax advisor in 1996, and continued to perform these duties at international audit firms for 10 years. He has focused his practice on tax law, handling both crossborder and national transactions, particularly regarding corporate taxation for foreign investment in Portugal, corporate restructurings, mergers and acquisitions, and real estate transactions.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association, since 1994.

Between 2001 and 2003, he was in charge of the Portuguese "Tax Desk" in Ernst & Young's Madrid office. Before joining Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira & Associados, he was head of Deloitte's tax department in Lisbon, in its technology, media, communication & real estate division.
