Íñigo de Luisa

Mr. de Luisa has specialized in all types of financial transactions, particularly those with international exposure, since 1996. He has ample experience in leveraged and acquisition finance, syndicated and bilateral loans, real estate finance, leaseback transactions, corporate finance, credit assignments, project finance (particularly, in the energy and renewable energy sectors), public-private partnerships (PPP) in infrastructures, structured finance, and all kinds of guarantees and security granted in Spain.

He has also advised on complex restructuring and refinancing deals at pre-insolvency stages. More recently, he has advised on several transactions to acquire distressed debt and non-performing loans (NPLs), both portfolios and participations in syndicated corporate loans. He has acted on both sides of these national and multi-jurisdictional deals, advising financial entities, investment funds, sponsors and debtors.

From 1999 to 2000, he was an international associate in a leading law firm within its finance and banking group in New York. From 2006 to 2008, he was based at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira’s London office, where he was responsible for the finance practice and participated in many crossborder transactions.
