Jaime de la Torre

Associate at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalvez Pereira since 2001, has provided advice on securitisaton (Spanish and Pan European transactions (CMBS, RMBS, CRE CDO and CDO transactions)), has participated in many debt instrument issues (bonds, notes, subordinate debt, public-sector bonds), derivative transactions and many issues of preferred shares and warrants.

Additionally has broad experience in advising private and public entities on financing transactions, both through syndicated and bilateral loans (financing corporate, leveraged and structured acquisitions). More recently, he has advised on acquiring distressed debt and non-performing loans (NPLs), both portfolios and participations in syndicated corporate loans.

Solicitor admitted to practice in England and Wales. He has also worked at the finance departments of Clifford Chance Madrid as a trainee and of Herbert Smith (London office) as a secondee.

Member of the Madrid Bar Association.

He lectures at universities and regularly speaks at training courses and conferences specializing in finance (ESADE, IFAES, ESCA, CEES, IEB, CEU), in addition to writing for journals.
