Javier Fontcuberta
Mr. Fontcuberta has extensive professional experience in commercial contracts, industrial law, and M&A, as well as in company law and consumer protection.
He specializes in business collaboration agreements, particularly commercial distribution agreements , and mainly focuses on the automotive industry e.g., capital goods, the aftermarket, car manufacture and distribution (new and used), spare parts and after-sales service, and product liability.
He is secretary of the boards of directors of several companies.
Mr. Fontcuberta has lectured on courses at several schools, having lectured part time at the Higher School for Business Administration and Management or "ESADE" since 1998. He lectures on various courses in its law faculty and programs aimed at executives, in addition to lecturing on commercial law at its Department of Private Law . A member of the Barcelona Bar Association, he also regularly gives talks on commercial law in Spain and abroad.
He is author of the book El contrato de distribución de bienes de consumo y la llamada indemnización por clientela (Consumer-good distribution contracts and clientele compensation), (Tirant lo Blanch, 2009), and of the chapter Derecho de Empresa (Business Law) in the book MBA de ESADE, (Planeta, 2010). Mr. Fontcuberta also has written many specialized articles and regularly writes articles in the press.
