Javier Villasante

Mr. Villasante is a partner in the firm's corporate practice (corporate law, and mergers and acquisitions) in Madrid. Previously, he worked at the Barcelona office, and managed the New York office. He has ample experience in company sale transactions, mergers, business restructurings, joint-venture agreements, and private-equity investments.

He represents a wide selection of companies, ranging from IBEX-35 groups to family businesses, multinationals, large industrial companies and private-equity firms. He has participated in number of significant transactions in recent years in Spain, such as the acquisitions of large industrial groups, the sales of large family businesses, and leveraged buyouts.

He has coordinated the legal advice of important business groups expanding internationally, and acquired companies in many European countries, Latin America and the United States, including multinational groups. He has also advised on project finance in various regions worldwide.
