Jorge Botella

Mr. Botella specializes in public procurement, particularly public-private partnerships (PPPs). He has extensive experience in transactions to finance infrastructure (i.e., project finance) based on PPP models, in different sectors and using different methods (e.g., transport, roads and motorways, hospitals, ports, hydroelectric plants, and waste management).

He has participated in the most important transactions to finance infrastructure in Spain in recent years, having advised the main Spanish and foreign financial entities.

He also has ample experience in advising spanish and foreign clients on matters relating to public procurement, particularly matters relating to PPPs, including jurisdictional issues arising from disputes.

A lecturer of administrative law and food law at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid, Mr. Botella also has extensive knowledge of the regulated sectors; he has advised many Spanish and foreign companies in the food industry, mainly on labeling, presenting and advertising food products.
