José Mª Acedo

Mr. Acedo has ample experience in advising companies and institutions on labor matters, having participated in business restructurings, and mergers and spin-offs, and in the negotiation of sectoral labor agreements. He also has extensive experience in proceedings before the industrial courts and tribunals, having advised companies and public authorities since 1978.

He specializes in the food and beverage, and chemical sectors, and the service, and iron and steel industries, advising companies on designing human resource systems, senior management issues, recruitment, the prevention of occupational hazards, and establishing equality plans.

He has participated in the negotiations of the most important labor agreements in the business sector, having advised companies and public bodies.

He has been a member of the Labor Relations Committee of the Basque Country as a representative of the Basque Business Federation, and a member of the provincial committees of FOGASA, INSS and INEM as a representative of Sea Empresarios Alaveses.

He regularly gives talks at various courses and training seminars organized by business and professional associations, and has delivered courses to entrepreneurs and business managers on work-related accidents, managing human resources, and implementing quality systems.

He belongs to the bankruptcy law committee of the à Álava Bar Association and has been appointed bankruptcy administrator in important bankruptcy proceedings before the courts of Vitoria-Gasteiz.
