Juan Bonilla

Mr. Bonilla specializes in international labor law, pensions and incentives, and in the law of new technologies. He has ample experience in employee compensation schemes, particularly share-based schemes, and contract terminations; and in the labor implications of corporate transactions, advising clients and handling litigation matters. He has extensive experience in advising international clients on transnational labor transactions, particularly in the European Union and Latin America.

Mr. Bonilla is an officer of the Employment and Industrial Relations Law Committee of the International Bar Association and co-editor of its Employment and Industrial Relations Newsletter. He is director of Global Equity Organization (GEO) and coordinator of its Spain Chapter Meeting. In 2007, he won the GEO Star Award for his outstanding development and implementation of a new chapter in Spain.

He speaks regularly at international conferences and postgraduate courses on labor law and share-based compensation schemes, and is an associate lecturer at the Faculty of Law of the Higher School of Business Administration or “ESADE.”

He has written several articles on labor law in local and international publications, such as The Employment Law Review – Spain Chapter, Employee Share Plans – Spain Chapter, GEOnomics ’09.”
