Mario Celaya
Mr. Celaya has an outstanding career in law, economics and finance, having worked at the Ministry of Economy in Madrid and in banking before starting to practice as a lawyer in Paris in 1990. He joined Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira in November 2010, after having worked for renowned law firms in Paris and as the managing partner of a British law firm.
He has ample experience in both advising and litigation regarding competition and distribution, EU law, and more generally regarding international transactions and disputes. He advises clients from a wide variety of sectors, such as franchise, mutual insurance, industrial machinery, household appliances, wood, food and beverage, engineering services, and energy.
Mr. Celaya lectures on competition law, contract law, and EU law at universities and companies. He has also lectured on EU law litigation at the School of the Paris Bar Association. He is a member of the French law association Henri Capitant and of the main French associations for competition and EU law.
