Roberto Álvarez

Mr. Álvarez is a tax expert, having completed a course in corporate finance at the London School of Economics. He has an outstanding career advising national and international athletes (e.g., Formula 1 and MotoGP drivers, motor-racing teams, championship organizers, cyclists, and footballers) on legal and tax matters, designing tax structures for and providing ongoing advice to bodies that manage image rights and international funds holding sports rights, as well as handling tax matters for non-resident athletes in Spain and abroad.

Also, over the last 13 years, he has advised on tax matters in many transactions to restructure companies and large assets, in addition to tax planning. On an international level, he has extensive experience in designing tax structures and advising non-resident companies and holders of large assets in Spain on tax matters.

He lectures in the Master in International Sports Law and the Master in International Legal Practice at the Higher Institute of Law and Economics, and in the Master in Legal Consultancy for Businesses at the Institute of Business Studies. He is a member of the Asturias Institute of Economists and of the Madrid Bar Association.
