Sergio Ruiz

An expert in company restructuring and insolvency, Mr. Ruiz has participated in many bankruptcy proceedings (of companies and groups of companies) in which he defended the insolvent debtor, including some of the most important and complex proceedings to be held in the autonomous region of Valencia. He was also appointed bankruptcy administrator in several bankruptcy proceedings.

He has ample experience in court and out-of-court proceedings, mainly defending the main debtors and guarantors, as well as in unfair competition proceedings and corporate disputes.

Mr. Ruiz is the author of the chapter La Sucesión de la Comunidad Autónoma de Aragón (Succession in the Autonomous Region of Aragón) published in the collective work Estudios sobre el ordenamiento jurídico Aragonés (Studies on the legal system of the autonomous region of Aragón), El Justicia de Aragón, Zaragoza 2003.

He speaks regularly at courses and training seminars on insolvency matters, and was a mentor in the Universidad de Valencia's program for work experience in companies.
