The Iberian law firm closed 2011 with a turnover of €242.6 million, which is a 0.4% increase compared to 2010. The firm aims to strengthen its international position in 2012.
Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira continues to reap good results despite 2011 being marked by the recession. The Iberian law firm recorded a turnover of €242.6 million, 0.4% more than 2010’s turnover of €241 million. General management announced the annual figures today in Madrid at the annual meeting it holds with journalists and the firm’s lawyers.
The firm’s chief executive officer, Rafael Fontana, said the results were “very satisfactory” and expressed his thanks to everybody in the firm for all their work. Mr. Fontana highlighted that “We will maintain our spirit and enthusiasm to take on the challenges of 2012, which look set to be exciting.”
Portugal’s managing directors, Diogo Perestrelo and Maria João Ricou, were also very positive about the firm’s activity in 2011, despite the financial upheaval in Spain’s neighboring country. Mr. Ricou highlighted that “2011 has been very satisfactory, with intense activity and great stability, thus securing the firm’s soundness.”
Faced with a 2012 characterized by uncertain forecasts, with employment, financial and tax reforms underway, the firm approaches the year with the clear aim of expanding internationally.
