Specialist in environmental regulation and responsibility, particularly focusing on the mining, oil, agrochemical and industrial sectors

Luisa Toledo helps implement due diligence processes, and advises on project structuring and community management. She also handles transactions to buy and sell projects to explore and exploit natural resources in Colombia, and the structuring of activities with an impact on natural resources.

She is an expert in advising on administrative and environmental civil sanctioning procedures, as well as in structuring self-managed corporate environmental programs. She helps review environmental regulation projects for local and national authorities.

She has participated in proceedings for obtaining environmental permits for energy projects, and has advised companies on verifying compliance with requirements and obligations in the framework of environmental follow up and monitoring. She has experience in delimitation, extraction and declaratory procedures relating to environmental protection areas.

Before joining Cuatrecasas, she worked at an international law firm on its natural resources team.

She lectures on environmental responsibility in specialty and master courses at Universidad Externado de Colombia, as well as on civil liability in the commercial law specialty at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá.

She has supervised graduate theses on climate change and on delimitation and declaratory procedures for environmental protection areas in the framework of investment at Pontificia Universidad Javeriana
