Miguel de Almada has extensive experience in dispute resolution, having focused his practice mainly in the areas of civil and commercial litigation and arbitration (domestic and international).

Miguel de Almada acts as lawyer and arbitrator and has vast experience in advising on pre-litigation and judicial litigation and arbitration cases in several sectors, including construction, projects, concessions, public-private partnerships, joint ventures, corporate, mergers and acquisitions, energy, distribution and retail, food industry, telecommunications, banking and financial services.

Member of the Portuguese Bar Association. Vice-President of the General Assembly of the Portuguese Arbitration Association. President of the Board of the Portuguese Chapter of the Spanish and Iberoamerican Arbitration Club.

Member of the ICC Arbitration and ADR Committee, the Portuguese Arbitration Committee of the ICC, the Spanish and Iberoamerican Arbitration Club, the Chartered Institute for Arbitrators and INSOL Europe.

He often lectures in postgraduate and graduate law courses on arbitration and participates as a speaker in work sessions, seminars and conferences in his areas of practice both in Portugal and abroad. Author of several articles in the field of Arbitration.
