The investment bank N+1 was financial advisor to the Bank of Spain

 

Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereiraadvised the Bank of Spain on a competitive accelerated book building process to sell 4,460,913 shares of Bolsas y Mercados Españoles, Sociedad Holding de Mercados y Sistemas Financieros, S.A. (BME); the shares represented 5.335% of BME’s share capital and were sold at an average price of €27.35. The investment bank Goldman Sachs International was responsible for placing the shares with qualified investors.

 

As a result of this operation, the Bank of Spain received €122 million, generating a capital gain of €117 million.

 

The Madrid Corporate and Commercial Practice, headed by partner Juan Aguayo, led the advisory service offered to the Bank of Spain. Partner Nicolás González-Deleito and associates Miguel Sánchez, Ignacio Escribá and Álvaro López de Ceballos were also involved.

 

The investment bank N+1 advised the Bank of Spain on financial issues to complete the transaction.
