These lawyers will reinforce all the firm’s practice areas, mainly in its offices in Madrid, Barcelona and the Basque Country.

The firm is committed to young talent and employment, while also adapting to the future Act on Admission to the Practice of Law.

The 38 new lawyers will reinforce all the firm's practice areas, mainly in its offices in Madrid, Barcelona and the Basque Country. Following a rigorous selection process, these young graduates are currently beginning their professional tasks in the Iberian firm.

With their arrival, the number of lawyers in all the firm’s practice areas will increase, in particular Tax, followed by Commercial, Labor and Litigation. Thus, the firm is committed to sustained growth of talent and job creation.

“We look for the best at universities. When deciding, the personal interview is crucial. Candidates undergo several interviews: with human resources, with various partners, etc., where they have the opportunity to show what they are like and to demonstrate their social skills, maturity, ability to communicate verbally, and their vocation to practice at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira,” Ignacio Escobar, director of the firm’s human resources department, explains.

These new arrivals are picked from the most recent graduates, who, in the next two years, will be the first groups of graduates required to have a Master for Admission to the Practice of Law. Thus, the firm is adapting to the new legislative framework from the beginning and, in recent months, has entered into agreements with the main university law faculties. “Thanks to these agreements, lawyers from the firm will teach subjects on the masters for admission to the practice of law at the country’s main universities,” Mr. Escobar adds.

Despite this recent large-scale recruitment, the firm maintains its policy of active sustained recruitment throughout the year, to meet the specific needs arising at any time.
