Cuatrecasas has advised Ribera Salud on acquiring over 54% of Polusa Hospital in Lugo. The transaction was completed after receiving the approval of the Spanish Markets and Competition Commission.

The group explained that with this acquisition, it "reaffirms its commitment to Galician healthcare" and its "intention to keep expanding and developing" its "responsible" health model.

The Cuatrecasas advisory team in this transaction was led by Corporate and Commercial Practice lawyers Juan José Ruiz and Carlos Gallego Galiani.

Ribera Salud currently manages six hospitals in Spain, three of which are university hospitals; over 80 health centers in Galicia, Extremadura and the autonomous regions of Madrid and Valencia; and it also participates in other national and international projects.

Polusa Hospital in Lugo is a private hospital center with 135 staff members that offers 97 inpatient beds, 5 operating rooms, a geriatric unit, an outpatient oncology unit, a diagnostic radiology department and a clinical laboratory.
