Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira strengthens intellectual property team by appointing Albert Agustinoy Guilayn and two new associates


Lawyer Albert Agustinoy Guilayn joins Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira as a partner after many years working in the best Spanish and international law firms. Mr. Agustinoy, who worked with the firm between 1998 and 2011, will strengthen the firm’s intellectual property team within the Corporate and Commercial Practice.

With a Bachelor of Laws from Universidad Autónoma de Barcelona, Mr. Agustinoy has a Master in Community Law from Universidad de Barcelona and a Master (LL.M.) in Comparative, European and International Laws from Université Robert Schuman, Strasbourg, France. He also has extensive academic experience: he lectures at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya’s Faculty of Law and has given courses as a guest lecturer at many universities and academies.

Throughout his career, Mr. Agustinoy has developed expertise in intellectual property, technology and gaming, and currently coordinates the Dispute Resolution module of the Master in Intellectual Property and Information Technology at ESADE.

Together with Mr. Agustinoy, associates Jorge Monclús and Elisa Lorenzo join the firm’s intellectual property team, in the Iberian firm’s clear commitment to strengthening a decisive area for its development.
