Professor Miguel Gómez Jene, who lectures on private international law, joins the firm as counsel and will strengthen the International Arbitration and Litigation Practice of the Litigation team.

The lawyer has extensive academic experience that he has combined with renowned technical consultancy. A Doctor of Laws by the National University for Distance Learning (UNED) and university professor, he was vice-dean of international and institutional relations at the Faculty of Law, UNED, and director of studies at the Hague Academy of International Law. He has written over 130 publications on international procedural law and international commercial arbitration, combining his academic and research activities with advising on international arbitrations and on legal proceedings requiring arbitration support and monitoring. He is a member of the Spanish Arbitration Club (CEA) and the Swiss Arbitration Association.

Appointing Miguel Gómez is part of an ambitious plan to strengthen the firm’s Arbitration Practice. The new counsel will consolidate the firm’s capacity in increasingly frequent litigation cases with crossborder elements.
