Seven second-year law students at IE University have become Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira lawyers for a week on the initiative of the Young Talents Program, an innovative program in which they learn all about business law and experience daily life at the firm.

The students, with excellent academic potential, have been accompanied at all times by lawyers from the different practice areas. These mentors explained the professional role and the demands of practicing law in a top firm.

The program included special sessions to help the students understand the career path, the different practices (corporate, tax, litigation, and labor and employment) and the international aspects of the profession. This intense week ended with practical seminars to allow students to optimize their law studies at IE University and develop all the necessary skills to become excellent lawyers.

Federico Roig, partner of the Corporate Practice and lecturer at IE Law School explains that the program is “a unique opportunity to learn about life in a multidisciplinary law firm and the profiles we look for in our lawyers. During one week, they have experienced the firm’s working environment and the challenges and demands made on business lawyers on a daily basis.

Soledad Atienza, head of law at IE University, highlights that "this program complements the training focused on the professional practice of law in a global environment that our law degree offers, and is a great opportunity for our students to experience life in the legal profession for one week with the support of top lawyers.
