Entry into force of the Spanish Trade Secrets Act

As anticipated in a previous post, the Spanish Trade Secrets Act (Act 1/2019 of February 20) entered into force on March 13, 2019, twenty days after its publication in the Official Gazette of the State (BOE). It transposes Directive (EU) 2016/943 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 8 June 2016 on the protection of undisclosed know-how and business information (trade secrets) against their unlawful acquisition, use and disclosure.
