Australian company Aware Super has acquired 49% of residential REIT Vivenio, majority owned by Dutch fund APG and whose shareholders also include Renta Corporación.
Australian company Aware Super has acquired 49% of residential REIT Vivenio, majority owned by Dutch fund APG and whose shareholders also include Renta Corporación. Cuatrecasas advised Vivenio on this transaction, as well as on entering into a shareholders agreement and investment agreement with APG and Aware Super, and on making a takeover bid of the minority shareholders.
Under the investment agreement, APG and Aware Super commit to investing up to €200 million each in the company, which will enable Vivenio to acquire new assets to continue growing in the Build-to-Rent market and consolidate its position. The company has also approved a €100 million capital increase as part of the investment agreement.
