RegTech & FinTech – the present and the future

Technology has been shaping the world at an unprecedented pace. In the recent years, the financial sector has been particularly prone to disruption and new players have been emerging and shaking the market. Incumbent financial institutions have also been adapting their business models and approach, so as to thrive in the new era.

At the same time, regulation has dramatically increased and become more complex and burdensome, leading institutions to an enhanced focus on regulatory matters, as well as to an inevitable pressure on costs.

OPCR and Cuatrecasas have invited a leading academic researcher to discuss these topics from a theoretical and practical point of view, to help shed some light on how RegTech and FinTech solutions may support financial institutions, today and tomorrow.
