Specialist in social security issues, particularly in collective labor relations, risk prevention and social security.


Juan Casal is a member of the High Body of Labor and Social Security Inspectors and developed his career in the provincial inspectorates of Las Palmas, Cádiz and Seville.

During the five years before joining Cuatrecasas he headed the Seville Provincial Inspectorate.

While head of the Seville Provincial Inspectorate, he was the institutional representative in the province and was a member of the follow-up commissions of the inspectorate’s plans (i) with the Social Security’s different entities and services, and (ii) relating to the prevention of occupational risks.

Since 2009, he has been an associate lecturer of employment law and social security law at Universidad Pablo de Olavide. He lectures in several postgraduate courses on social and labour matters and regularly speaks at seminars, conferences and congresses on social and labor matters. He has also published articles in specialized journals.
