Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira is the top Spanish law firm according to the Chambers Europe Awards for Excellence 2014, held in London.

With these awards, leading legal directory Chambers and Partners recognizes European law firms for their excellence in providing services in key legal areas, such as Banking and Finance, Competition Law, Mergers and Acquisitions, Litigation and Arbitration, Energy, Tax and Labor.

The legal directory considered the firm’s strategic growth, given the economic context and European global trends; its participation in key transactions on the Spanish market; and the observations and impressions of companies and organizations, which the Chambers and Partners research team collected.

Enric Picanyol, senior partner at Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira, and Antonio Baena, managing partner of the firm’s London office, collected the award at the Europe Awards for Excellence gala, with all the top-level European firms in attendance.

Law firms Chiomenti (Italy), Gide Loyrette Nouel (France) and Gleiss Lutz (Germany), who together with Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira form part of the European network, also attended the awards ceremony. Gide also received the award for excellence in France, and Chiomenti and Gleiss Lutz were finalists in their respective jurisdictions.
