Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira nombra nuevos directores en Nueva York y Londres

Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira has further boosted its international practice by transferring young partners to its London and New York offices. The law firm has appointed Miguel Ángel Melero as the new director of its New York office. This move comes shortly after Íñigo Rubio took up the management of the London office where he will coordinate and reinforce the law firm’s finance practice. Melero replaces Albert Garrofé, who had been the director of the New York office since July 2006. Garrofé has rejoined the corporate practice in the law firm’s Barcelona office.
  
Miguel Ángel Melero, a partner from the corporate practice area specialized in M&A, has spent his entire career with Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira. Melero has led various projects for the law firm including the opening of its Casablanca office in 2007. He has an LL.M. from the University of London and a Master in Business Law from Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Melero has successfully led many transactions, including some of the most outstanding ones in telecommunications and private equity in Spain. He is specialized in the insurance, real estate, pharmaceutical and renewable energy industries.
 
Íñigo Rubio, a partner from the Finance practice area of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira, is an experienced legal advisor in infrastructure project finance (PPP and PFI), as well as simple, syndicated, and structured real estate and corporate finance transactions. Rubio holds a Master in Banking Law and International Financing by the University of Boston.  He has taken an advanced APD course on securities market and credit entities.
