June 4, 2010

Last night, the French journal Decideurs Stratégie Finance Droit awarded the law firms Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira and Garrigues the Golden Award for best Spanish law firm of 2010, at a ceremony held in the Intercontinental Hotel Paris. Over 500 lawyers, managing partners, general counsels and leading professionals from the legal field from over 40 countries attended the awards ceremony, which is held every year at the International Legal Alliance Summit, a networking event for Continental law firms. A jury comprising the legal directors of leading companies decides the winning firms.

This is not the first time that the French journal has acknowledged the work of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira: in 2009, it awarded it the Silver Award; in 2008, the Golden Award; and in 2007, it named it “Best European Independent Law Firm.” This year, a jury comprising 15 panels of 100 experts shortlisted Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira along with 200 other international law firms. The awards acknowledge the best independent law firms both for their results and many achievements in leadership and management.
Nuria Bové, managing partner of the Paris office, and Cristóbal Casado, head of the labor practice in Paris, received the prize, expressing their satisfaction and thanks for the firm’s latest acknowledgement.
