Nuria Bové is appointed head of Paris Bar Association’s French-Spanish Commission

The managing director of Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira’s Paris office will be responsible for strengthening the relationships between the bar associations of France and Spain and for promoting their international relations. 

Nuria Bové Espinalt, managing director of the Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira  office Paris, has been appointed head of the Paris Bar Association’s French-Spanish association (Bâttonier de l’Ordre des avocats de Paris) by the association’s president, Pierre-Olivier Sur.

In this role, Nuria Bové will be responsible for strengthening the relationships between the lawyers of the French capital and the members of the Spanish bar associations. Her tasks will include organizing events and meetings between the associations and law firms from both countries, and promoting the commission’s international activities to increase its representation and adapt to the global needs of legal services in France and Spain.

Nuria Bové was pleased with her appointment, stating that “it is a great honor to represent the Paris Bar Association’s French-Spanish Commission. The two countries have historical and cultural, as well as professional ties. We see this in our daily work in business law. This institutional relationship should enable us to further bring together the legal profession in both countries and to offer useful legal resources to the lawyers we represent.”

Sobre Nuria Bové

Nuria Bové Espinalt has a Bachelor of Laws from Universitat de Barcelona and a Diploma in Public International Law from Universidad del País Vasco. She also has a Superior Diploma (DSUP) in Commercial Law from Université Paris 2.

She specializes in foreign investment in France and business law. We highlight her experience in advising Spanish multinational companies established in France on industrial and commercial projects, and on financial and banking restructuring transactions.

She has been managing the Cuatrecasas, Gonçalves Pereira Paris office since 2004, after having worked at the firm’s offices in the United Kingdom, France and Spain. Administrator of the Spanish Chamber of Commerce in Paris since 2013, she was also its vice chair from 2001 to 2013.  She is vice chair of the French association DIALOGO France and a member of the Barcelona and Paris bar associations.

Opened in 2004, the Paris office, which advises on French law, is ideally placed for handling legal issues arising from transactions in France, and for advising French companies investing on the Iberian Peninsula, and in Africa and Latin America.
