Sónia Queiroz Vaz specializes in drafting and negotiating intellectual property rights contracts (particularly, licensing and transfer rights) in a wide range of fields, e.g., broadcasting, publishing and merchandising, as well as in designing strategies to protect IP rights, including brands. She is also an expert in advising on the commercial exploitation of software and audiovisual products both in Portugal and abroad (production, distribution and broadcasting via television, radio, internet and mobile platforms). Before joining Cuatrecasas, she worked at other law firms in Portugal. She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association. She represents Cuatrecasas on the Intellectual Property Commission of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Portugal. She has been appointed a member of the International Trademark Association’s Copyright Committee for the 2024-2025 period. |
