Cuatrecasas to move into new office in Lisbon by early 2021

Cuatrecasas will move its headquarters in Lisbon within a year. The firm’s new offices in the Portuguese capital will occupy one of the most iconic buildings in the city. The 12-story office building is located at number 6 on Fontes Pereira de Melo Avenue, a mere 300 meters from the current Cuatrecasas headquarters, in one of the most central districts of Lisbon.

The work on the infrastructure, façade and almost 8,000 sq m of interior space must be completed within a year, and will make it a high-tech building with workspaces complying with the highest standards of comfort, design, functionality and energy efficiency. This modern, spacious workspace will provide the firm with adequate growth potential and will strengthen flexible, integrated and synergistic work models, aligned with clients’ growing sophistication.

Over 200 lawyers work in the current headquarters at Marquês de Pombal Plaza, one of the firm’s largest offices. The Lisbon office has grown 4.6% in lawyers, with a 19% increase in turnover between 2013 and 2018.
