The Cuatrecasas partners have approved the hiring of lawyers Eva Martín Díaz (Tax Litigation), Félix Plasencia Sánchez (Public Law) and Rafael Sánchez Aristi (Intellectual Property) as new partners of the firm. The three join the team of lawyers at the Madrid office. The decision was taken during the Extraordinary Partners Meeting held on Thursday afternoon, November 25.
Eva Martín Díaz | Partner of Tax Litigation
A state tax inspector on leave of absence, she has specialized in disputes with the public administration throughout her career. She has held the positions of chair of the Madrid Tax Appeal Board (TEAR), coordinating member of the Central Economic and Administrative Tribunal (TEAC) and member of the Taxpayer Protection Council. At the beginning of her career as a state tax inspector, she served in the General Tax Directorate and with the Tax Agency.
Félix Plasencia Sánchez | Partner of Public Law
A counsel for the state on leave of absence, he is an expert on energy and infrastructure. After most of his career in prominent positions in public administration—including financial regulatory area coordinator for the Judicial Review Division of the Court of Appeals— he specializes in regulatory affairs in the financial sector, public procurement, expropriations, concessions, arbitration and complex civil lawsuits related to the public and regulatory domain.
Rafael Sánchez Aristi | Partner of Intellectual and Industrial Property, and Trade Secrets; and Technologies & Digital Media
An expert on civil law, he has extensive experience in intellectual property, computer law, outsourcing, electronic communications, media, personal data protection and e-commerce. Before working for law firms, he developed most of his career between the Provincial Court of Guadalajara and the General Council of the Spanish Judiciary. He received the I Rodrigo Uría Meruéndano Art Law Award in 2015.
