Advising private equity companies and institutions on M&A, investments and disinvestments, strategic alliances and corporate law, particularly in the financial and insurance sectors.

Julián Ruan advises private equity companies and institutions on national and crossborder M&A and private equity transactions, and corporate law matters.

He focuses his practice on the finance and insurance sectors, advising financial credit establishments and institutions, payment and e-money institutions, management companies, securities companies and agencies, investment services companies, insurers and insurance brokers, and their investors and partners on transactional matters. This includes stake acquisitions, sales of branches of activity, joint ventures, and structural modifications. He also advises them on business restructuring, contracting—delegating essential activities and other types of specific contracts—and on procedures with regulatory authorities e.g., acquiring significant holdings, creating vehicles, right of establishment and crossborder activity, and obtaining licenses and authorizations. Julián also has experience advising on fintech and insurtech transactions.

He serves regularly as vice secretary non-director of the boards of directors of regulated entities.

He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association.
