Maria João Ricou was managing partner of Cuatrecasas in Portugal until 2022 and has been a member of the firm’s board of directors (global) from 2011 to 2022. She has been coordinating the firm’s banking and finance, and capital markets practices since 1993. She was named a partner of the firm 1990.
She is a member of the Portuguese Bar Association and of the International Bar Association.
She has published several articles in the fields of financial law and capital markets. She speaks at national and international conferences.
