Specialist in advising on corporate and commercial transactions.

Marta Benjumea advises on private equity in the energy and industry sectors, structural modifications and corporate restructuring, and on joint ventures and other strategic alliances. She has participated in particularly unique, complex transactions, such as the creation of the Spanish “bad bank” (SAREB).

She started her career in the Cuatrecasas Corporate Finance Practice, participating in international tenders, corporate and project financing, and in debt restructuring in different business sectors, particularly renewable energy.

Between 2016 and 2018, she was part of the team of lawyers at the firm’s Mexico City office, advising on all branches of corporate and financial law, with a special focus on energy and infrastructures.

She speaks at courses and training seminars on commercial law, including at ESADE Business & Law School and the Madrid Bar Association.
