Rafael Mínguez joined Cuatrecasas over 20 years ago. Previously, he served in the Senior Corps of State Civil Administrators at the Ministry of Economy and Finance (admitted in 1986), working in the Directorate General of Foreign Transactions and in the Directorate General of the Treasury and Financial Policy, where he was responsible for Spanish financial legislation on capital markets and credit institutions.
He is a member of the Madrid Bar Association and the Portuguese Bar Association, and a member of the editorial boards of the journals Capital Riesgo and IBA Banking.
He lectures at Universidad Carlos III, as well as co-directing its Master for Access to the Practice of Law. He also lectures at CUNEF University College of Financial Studies and several Latin American universities, and is a doctoral thesis advisor in Spanish and Colombian universities.
He is a researcher at the Chair of the Law of Financial Markets of the Universidad CEU San Pablo.
He has written many publications on financial topics and financial regulation, and coordinates publications and books on financial markets and capital markets.
