Cuatrecasas has advised Credicorp Capital Colombia S.A. (“Credicorp Capital”)—through the Credicorp Capital Deuda Privada I private equity fund—on granting a loan increase of COP 60 billion to Créditos Orbe S.A.S. (“Galgo CrediOrbe”), a financial institution specializing in agile loans for buying motorcycles and other kinds of vehicles in Colombia.

The funds from this non-revolving loan—made available through a single payment—will be used by the company to originate new loans and to finance commercial transactions involving acquiring consumer credits.

Through this transaction, Credicorp Capital and Galgo CrediOrbe reaffirm their commitment to increasing access to motorcycles and other vehicles in this category, with innovative credit mechanisms that boost and revitalize the automotive market. Between January and March 2026, 118,410 new motorcycles were registered in Colombia, a growth of 35% compared to the same period in 2025, according to figures from ANDI and FENALCO.

Juan Carlos Puentes (Finance partner) led the advisory team and said: “This transaction reflects the potential of portfolio-backed financing structures to expand access to credit and strengthen funding alternatives for the automotive market in Colombia.” Catalina Herrera, Juanita Calderón and Daniel Valderrama (Finance) and Rafael Marulanda (Corporate) also participated in the transaction.
