His appointment will enable the firm to continue expanding its service offer—increasingly comprehensive and sophisticated in Latin America—, while reaffirming its commitment to a practice where there is growing demand for specialized advice, combining top-level transactional advisory services with in-depth regulatory knowledge, meaning that the firm can provide a 360-degree approach to banking and capital markets.
Jose Goyburu has over 20 years of experience and an outstanding career in the banking and finance sector. Before joining the firm, he worked at a well-known Peruvian law firm as co-head of the banking and finance, and capital markets areas, he was legal manager at a Peruvian fiduciary business company, and senior legal advisor at one of Peru’s main banks.
Jose Goyburu has a Bachelor of Laws (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), a Master in Banking and Finance Law with a major in banking regulation (Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú), and a Diploma in Business Management for Lawyers (Universidad del Pacifico). His work in complex transactions and his market experience has been acknowledged by leading directories, including Chambers & Partners, in Banking & Finance (Band 3) and Capital Markets (Band 4), IFLR 1000 and Legal 500.
