Cuatrecasas has appointed seven new partners, thus strengthening its market position. Lawyers Carlos Ara, Almudena Batista, Manuel Franco, Rosa Mª Gual, Paz Irazusta and Moisés Oller become partners in Spain and lawyer Rui Vaz Pereira in Portugal. The Partners Meeting also approved the appointment of three new counsel in Spain: Mª Carmen Arribillaga, Jorge Monclús and Carlos Ramírez.

Over €315 million in 2020

Cuatrecasas recorded revenue of over €315 million in 2020, in line with the results achieved in 2019. The firm obtained a total consolidated revenue of €315.3 million, 0.3% below its historic record high of €316.4 million, and a 14.1% increase over the previous year. However, its ordinary revenue increased by 1.8% compared to 2019.


New partners


Carlos Ara | Litigation and Arbitration (Barcelona) Specialist in international restructuring, both in refinancing agreements and court insolvency proceedings. An expert in Spanish and EU insolvency law, he advises creditors, debtors, insolvency administrators, and acquirers of production units, in highly complex cases in practically all sectors.


Almudena Batista | Labor and Employment (Madrid)

Specialist in labor and employment law. She advises on court proceedings, due diligence processes, senior management, expatriation processes, hiring, contract terminations, collective dismissals and substantial changes in working conditions, complementary social security, gender equality, and social security. She also advises national and international companies in different industries on an ongoing basis.


Manuel Franco | Litigation and Arbitration (Madrid)

Specialist in international arbitration and disputes relating to engineering and construction projects, the international sale of goods, insurance and reinsurance contracts, procurement and transportation.
