Qualitas Funds launches its first private equity fund of funds to invest in North America

Cuatrecasas has advised Qualitas Funds SGEIC, a private equity investment platform, on creating Qualitas Funds US I, the asset manager's first private equity fund of funds focused exclusively on investments in North America. The new vehicle, which will be structured through Spanish venture capital companies and funds, will have a hard cap of €80 million.

Qualitas Funds US I was created following the integration of Qualitas Funds into the US group P10 (NYSE: PX), a leading global platform in the lower mid-market segment. Thanks to this integration, the Madrid-based asset manager will work in coordination with RCP Advisors, another company in the P10 Group, to identify and select the best investment opportunities in the North American market.

Broad geographic diversification

With the launch of Qualitas Funds US I, Qualitas Funds reinforces its commitment to geographic diversification and expands its product range, consolidating its position as a benchmark in alternative investment management. This new strategy will allow Qualitas Funds investors, who are mainly Spanish, to diversify their portfolios and access a market with high growth potential.

The Cuatrecasas team involved in this transaction was made up of lawyers Miguel Sánchez, Jorge Canta, and Pablo García (Corporate and M&A); and Paz Irazusta and Miguel Ángel Orozco (Tax). Their legal advice was key to the proper structuring and launch of the fund, ensuring regulatory compliance and the program's tax efficiency.
