Cuatrecasas has advised private equity firm 4Founders on creating its second investment vehicle, called 4Founders Capital II. A new management company—already registered with the Spanish Securities and Exchange Commission—was created for the new fund, which will allow the firm to have a better capacity for action.

Managed by Javier Pérez-Tenessa, Jesús Monleón, Marc Badosa and Marek Fodor, the fund will have €40 million to invest in up to 30 technology companies over the next 10 years. The investment period will include four years for the capital injections and another five for divestments. The initial closing of the fund, with between €15 to €20 million guaranteed, is expected before the end of 2020.

The Cuatrecasas team advising on this transaction was made up of lawyers Jorge Canta, Guillem Martínez and Paula Solano.
