Cuatrecasas’ German Desk organizes a round table in partnership with Gleiss Lutz to discuss the main implications of the Lieferkettengesetz, now that its scope has been significantly extended. In fact, since January 1, 2024, and one year after it came into force, the Lieferkettengesetz implicates all German companies with at least 1,000 employees, imposing compliance obligations to their supply chain. These compliance obligations have significant extraterritorial application, for they affect not only German companies directly but also Portuguese companies with whom they maintain commercial relations.
