The firm has strengthened its Labor and Employment Practice by hiring José María Goerlich for the Valencia office as its new counsel in this practice area for the Knowledge and Innovation Group. Goerlich has an extensive professional background with over 30 years of experience as a labor expert in top-level public and private institutions. He began his career in the High Court of Justice of the Valencian Autonomous Region and since then has provided legal counsel for many other official bodies, such as the Constitutional Court, the Spanish Economic and Social Council, the Canary Islands Labor Court and the Arbitration Tribunal of the Valencian Autonomous Region. In addition, he has counseled numerous top-tier private entities in successive contracts within the framework of university-business collaboration. A wealth of experience that has led him to become one of Spain’s most highly regarded labor lawyers.

With a degree in laws from the University of Valencia, a doctorate from the University of Bologna and a professorship in labor law, Goerlich is also an eminent academic figure who has contributed to developing and training new talent in several leading Valencian university institutions for decades. At the same time, he is an outstanding contributor to many specialized journals. He has published several of his own books and contributed to different manuals on his specialty area.
