Specialist in legal aspects relating to internet, digital transformation and intermediary liability. He is a member of the firm’s Knowledge and Innovation Group.

Miquel Peguera is a professor of commercial law at Universitat Oberta de Catalunya (UOC). He is an affiliate scholar at the Center for Internet and Society at Stanford Law School.

He is currently vice-dean of research for law studies and political science at UOC. From 2007 to 2008, he was a visiting scholar at Columbia University School of Law in New York.

His main area of research relates to the legal aspects of the information society, particularly in relation to the regime for platforms and internet-related liability problems. Specifically, he has covered intellectual property, industrial property and data protection issues, as well as the regulation and impact of artificial intelligence. He has been co-editor of the Journal of Intellectual Property, Information Technology & E-Commerce Law (jipitec.eu) since 2011.
